My first Buzzfeed quote.
I had the time of my life on this adventure. I also highly recommend this subscription to anyone who frequently flies from New York to Boston. Read more about FlyBeacon below.
Fly Beacon is a subscription flight service co-founded by Wade Eyerly, a former Defense Intelligence Agency employee and Bush-Cheney 2004 campaign staffer who founded Surf Air. The company would work like the Netflix DVD service, but for private flights.
A $2,000 monthly membership fee gets you as many flights as you want between White Plains and Boston (there will also be seasonal service to Nantucket and the Hamptons – YAHS). Customers can fly as much as they want but will have to give up one flight if they cancel last minute. Members also get a guest pass that will be waived in the beginning which is why you should sign up now.
This subscription makes sense financially if you are flying back and forth more than 3 times a month. I think this service definitely makes sense for companies as well because the convenience. Flights can be booked in 10 seconds through the mobile app – another convenient aspect about the seamless process.
I can’t wait until they start flying to the Hamptons – skipping that traffic will be life changing and save so much time.
Our Swiss-made Pilatus PC-12 comfortably seats 6. “This is a Lexus,” Eyerly says, “it’s a nice sedan, not a Ferrari; it’s a strong, great plane.”
That’s the Buzzfeed writer who threw up on the flight – poor guy.
