Last week my best friend and I did a cross country road trip from Miami to LA. Our first stop was New Orleans, also known as NOLA, and it was AMAZING. I feel like we climbed Mount Everest or something – feel v accomplished and adventurous for crossing that off my bucket list.
Everyone had told us before the trip that the vibe in NOLA was indescribable yet incredible and they were very right. We first stayed at the Soniat House Boutique Hotel in the center of the French Quarter. Obsessed? So were we. Everything at this hotel is perfect from the interior decor to the friendly staff to these perfect wrap around porches. You feel as though you’ve stepped back in time for a little bit yet you feel right at home.
Below is a little NOLA photo diary along with the most upscale and unique places that you have to visit.
BOURBON STREET
So this is the famous street in New Orleans – personally not where I would spend a lot of time because it’s a bit too rowdy BUT I recommend you walk through here during the day time before everyone starts taking $1 jello shots. The architecture is gorgeous and there’s lots of people watching to do.
