Le Pavillon de la Reine is the best luxury hotel in le Marais Paris. This enchanting hotel exudes intimate decadence, romantic charm, and opulent sophistication. It’s a design lovers dream and the absolute perfect place for a quintessential Paris getaway.

Upon entering the wondrous, foliage filled courtyard, you immediately feel as if you’re living in a modern day fairytale, at least that’s how I felt. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Le Marais and right across from the beautiful Place des Vosges.

Pavillon de la Reine is the best luxury hotel in Le Marais Paris because many reasons which I will go over below.

The Rooms

Pavillon de la Reine feels like a decadent, private hideaway located in the center of everything. Staying here will make you feel like royalty.

The hotel features 56 individually decorated rooms and suites – all sophisticatedly decorated in contemporary style fusing modern design classics with antique elements from it’s rich and vivid history.
The hotel has a lot of history, as it was built in 1612 by King Henry IV of France – how cool is that?!
All rooms include plasma screens with satellite TV, complimentary wifi, air conditioning, and more.

Food & Drink

Breakfast is served every morning from 7 to 11 in the lounge downstairs. Their breakfast includes eggs, pastries, fruits, coffee, tea, etc. We opted to get room service and honestly it was one of the best breakfast in bed situations I’ve ever experienced.

You can also dine at the hotel restaurant, Anne, which is open for lunch and dinner Wednesday – Sunday. We had afternoon coffee and snacks on the hotel’s patio which was so relaxing and delicious.

The hotel also offers 24 hour room service and an honesty bar in the lounge. An honesty bar is a self-serve bar where you can pour your own drink and the pay for it later.

Location

Pavillon de la Reine is located in my favorite neighborhood in Paris, le Marais. Le Marais is picturesque, centrally located, and also has the best shopping, museums, galleries, restaurants, cafes and bars.

Not only is the hotel located in the best area, but it’s also right across the street from the beautiful & charming Place des Vosges. Place des Vosges is the oldest square in Paris, dating back to the 17th century, and is the perfect place to go for a walk, read, or just hang out with your friends. We went for a few walks through here and it was delightful.

The History

Pavillon de la Reine was originally built in 1612 by King Henry IV of France and is now privately owned and family run. Pavillon de la Reine translates to “the queen’s pavilion” because Queen Anne of France used to actually live in the wing that separated the house from the current Place des Vosges in the 17th century.

Spa de la Reine – a spa with two treatment rooms, a fitness room, steam room, and jacuzzi. It’s open daily from 7 am-9 pm.
