The Pools

What originally caught my attention about the Mulia is the famed Oasis beachfront pool. And wow. It’s even more beautiful in person than on Pinterest. There’s also five other pools around the property, so if an oceanfront infinity pool isn’t your thing, there’s still other pools for you too. Like the swim up bar pools where you can order drinks and fresh juices. The pool are definitely a major reason why the Mulia is the most luxurious resort in Nusa Dua for couples.

The View

The view from our room was something we’ll never get over. Being able to wake up and look out at Nusa Dua Bay with a fresh cup of tea was the perfect way to start our morning.

The Suites

An expansive marble balcony and bathroom, a free standing bath tub like I’ve always dreamt of, high tech toilets that open and flush automatically (so cool!), and comfortable beds for a good nights rest – the elegant Mulia suites will convince you to cancel your flights home.

The Grounds

The grandiose size and scale of the resort is designed to impress. It felt as though we were staying at a royal palace. Sweeping ceilings, ocean views, cascading glass chandeliers, fountains, a plethora of vibrant plants, and lots of open space – everything at the Mulia is taken care of so pristinely.

There is also a floating glass chapel that sits in a one-acre lake which is actually a shallow tiled pool. It was created solely so wedding parties can be bathed in sapphire hues.

The Beach

You can walk right from the resort, out onto the pristine beach. I don’t surf, but did see a lot of surfers catching some waves out in the distance:)

The Food

There are four restaurants and five bars on the property, along with room service of course – my favorite! If you are staying at the Mulia Villas you get to enjoy a complimentary afternoon tea time with cocktails which is a must.

There is a breakfast buffet served in The Café with a vast amount of choices ranging from Asian to Western, and then also a desert room with a chocolate fountain, cakes, cookies, gelato, donuts, and pastries. They really set you up to live your best life.

Table8 serves Cantonese and Szechuan cuisine, Edogin serves Teppanyaki buffet, and Soleil serves Mediterranean and Pan-Asian fare. Soleil is famous in Bali for their oceanview Sunday brunch which offers unlimited drinks as well as food. It was such a scene and packed! My birthday was coincidentally on a Sunday this year so we had brunch at Soleil and it was such a time to remember that I actually cried happy tears when they sang me happy birthday. It was such a beautiful and unforgettable experience.

The Spa & Fitness Center

The spa and fitness center at the Mulia are both phenomenal. The spa is luxurious and expansive with an array of various treatments available. We experienced a traditional couples Balinese massage here and it was such a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The fitness center was everything you could ever want with a plethora of machines and various classes available daily.

The Service

I always include service when writing reviews on hotels because I think it’s so important! It can really make or break an experience. Needless to say, the service at the Mulia was impeccable. The concierge helped organize jet skiing for us on my birthday, and our butler was always a call away if we needed anything like an iron or steamer. The staff addressed us both by name (and always with a big smile), which is the attention to detail I rarely experience, but definitely enjoy.
