Miami – a vibrant beach city on a serious come up due to the art scene, hotel scene, restaurant scene, amazing weather and of course Miami’s very own – DJ Khaled – who is teaching everyone the “keys to success” via Snapchat. (@djkhaled) I’ve been spending a lot of time in Miami lately so here is a guide for you to have the best weekend in this beautiful city full of life. Bless up.
One of the most luxurious hotels in South Beach – Faena has an amazing lounge definitely worth experiencing. I love the detail in the decor throughout this resort including the 8 hand painted murals on the walls as you enter by Juan Gatti, intricate mosaic floors and golden palm tree curtains in the lounge. Such a rich yet homey ambiance – I’d definitely live here.
If you like opera, plays or the ballet you have to make a point to see a show at the Arsht Center. I just saw Ocean Drive in Vienna last weekend and it was incredible.
Bodega
If you like to dance to hip-hop – like most of Miami – stop by Bodega after midnight. It appears as a taco shop on the facade but then you enter through a special door into a lounge that feels like you are in someone’s living room. And for those who like to play pool – they have some tables for you too.
Wynwood Walls
Wynwood is full of art, life and personality. You have to see the Wynwood Walls and walk around the area to experience Miami culture. Side note – clearly this is one of the best spots for photos.
