I’ve always preferred traveling over material items because those memories last a lifetime & you learn from them. There’s nothing like gifting an experience, so I’ll always recommend this first and foremost for any relationship:) A cute idea that Joe did for me one year was a piece of paper that said “good for one trip to Tokyo” and we got to plan it together. It was super cute & gave us both something to look forward to:)

Escape Room

I haven’t tried one of these yet but they seem really fun. Just google “escape room near me” to find the closest one in your area.

Plant & Succulent Making Class

I recently discovered Le Petit Garden on Melrose in LA which is where you can create little planters or succulent wreaths together. Such a cute idea. I guess you could also just go to Home Depot too though, just plan ahead of time.

Pottery Making And/Or Painting Class

I’ve always loved Color Me Mine. It’s a soothing & creative activity where you can both make gifts to take home. This would also be fun for a group of friends or double date:) Don’t leave out your single friends!

Bowling

Some of our favorite places to go bowling in LA are PINZ, Lucky Strike, & Highland Park Bowl. This is also a great group activity & adds some fun competition vibes in the mix. I always suck at bowling, but they have margaritas & good music:)

Couples Massages / Spa day

I’ve had a Massage Envy membership for years so we always get couples massages to get equally zen. We hold so much tension in our necks & upper backs from working on computers all day so this is always a good idea.

Sound baths are the shit. Joe & I are obsessed. Sound baths will change your life. Side effects include really great sex. I don’t know why, but just trust me.

Road Trip

We LOVE a good road trip. Our all time favorite road trip destination is Palm Springs. It’s such a vibe out there and there’s so many chic hotels.

Cooking Class

I’ve only taken one cooking class and it was in high school & mandatory for NCL. I think it could be fun though! If you’re interested in cooking, google “cooking class near me.”

Picnic At The Beach Or Park

Picnics at the beach are super chill & happy. My ultimate favorite picnic is at the beach on a sunny day with edibles or weed. It’s chill, happy, relaxing, and a nice elevated adventure. My favorite brands are A Golden State, Northern Emeralds, & Kiva. Maybe get takeout to make it easy. Don’t forget water! We made this mistake last weekend lol.

A Pet

Some of you might be responsible enough for a puppy or cat, or maybe some of you are like me and can only manage a succulent & beta fish. Make sure to buy this automatic fish feeder if you travel a lot:) Whatever you do, make sure you’re responsible when buying an animal.
