How To Spend 2 Days In Bangkok, Thailand
2 days in Bangkok, Thailand is all you need if traveling throughout Southeast Asia. It was quite a whirlwind going from the relaxed beaches of Bali and Thailand to a major, developed and bustling city. It’s an adjustment, but I recommend experiencing Bangkok at least once because it is unique. There are adventures to be had and memories to be made. Read on below for my recommendations and tips on how to spend 2 days in Bangkok, Thailand.
Stay at
The Ritz Carlton Hotel
Eat at
Sra Bua, Bo.Lan, Nahm, Vertigo, L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon and street food.
Drink at
Sky Bar (the bar from The Hangover)
Afternoon Tea at
the Mandarin Oriental
Take a boat ride
along the Chao Phraya River
Shop at
EmQuartier for luxury, CentralWorld for everything, Siam Paragon – also for everything and MBK to shop and play video games.
The mall arcades are HUGE.
Party at
Onyx Nightclub, Sugar Club and Levels Lounge. Also Hookah lounges are great.
Don’t bother going anywhere else and avoid Khao San Road – it’s disgusting, dirty and full of annoying backpackers who don’t have manners. V sloppy.
Walk around Chinatown and ride a tuk-tuk
A couple things about Bangkok to be prepared for…
The pollution.
It’s dirty and smelly. The sky is forever grey in Bangkok. The pollution is out of control at this point. I now understand the face masks.
The traffic.
If you can imagine LA traffic x 10 – that is what Bangkok traffic is. I got out of the Uber and started walking because it got to the point to where walking was the fastest transportation option.
Other than that – you can keep yourself busy with adventures around this bustling city. Hope you enjoy some of my favorite places. 🙂
