Who ever said you cannot wear white after labor day was a bit ridiculous, lets not go cutting colors out of our closet so quickly. Rules are made to be broken anyways and white was EVERYWHERE around the tents at Lincoln Center. Day two  of NYFW included the Rebecca Minkoff show, Zimmerman, Nautica and Noon by Noor. And as you can see it was basically like back to school week in the sense that you are reunited with your old friends and introduced to new ones. I love being able to catch up with everyone who I cannot see on a regularly basis-it is the beauty of fashion week. NYFW is basically a festival that brings everyone together from all different countries and backgrounds making Lincoln Center a breeding ground for inspiration. It is a place to meet new people, network, establish new friendships and express who you are without having to say a word. And then once the day is over and you are exhausted from running around from show to show you have to get a second wind out of thin air and attend the designer’s and magazine’s after parties. On Day 2 was the ID Magazine after party that I went to with my new friend Kimberley from Holland, Craig Arend who is one of my favorite photographers in the city and Elgene Castueras who is a new friend as well. It was at the Ace Hotel, one of my favorite chill spots, and it was a great time as usual. But I mean are parties with open bars ever uneventful? No, no they are not.

This outfit was very Australian of me, every white piece is by an Aussie designer. If you know me you know that I have an obsession with Australian designers. Why? Because they aren’t ridiculous American designers making unwearable pieces strictly for Fashion Week events and music videos. Every Australian piece is wearable and flattering. One of my new favorite Aussie labels is Premonition Designs. The quality and cuts are simply amazing and perfect for day to night outfits which during fashion week are REALLY necessary. The cape is White Suede, one of the labels I used to do PR for and I have always been a fan-love the quality. Now let’s take a look at these Carolinna Espinosa shoes…How beautiful are they? I am kind of obsessed with their whole collection. The Carolinna Espinosa design studio is located in Padova, Italy, where Creative Directors Gianni Velasche and Charles Amar bring to life their vivid visions of perfection in footwear. Velasche comes from a luxury shoe design background having designed for industry leading brands like Sergio Rossi, Yves St. Laurent and Louis Vuitton, while Amar’s expertise comes in the trend finding and developing field of footwear, having designed for global footwear conglomerates like Nine West, Steve Madden and Charles David. Together, the design duo brings a perfect fusion of timeless elegance with modern flair to each collection, which has facilitated the rapid growth of the brand globally. I think I might have to go visit their design studio in Italy?

This outfit got quite a bit of press. I was featured on the New York Times again and then Huffington post as well.  And if you live in Singapore check out the Nylon October Issue and you will see me in there also:)

Here is a little collage I put together giving you a  “behind the scenes” of my friends and I. I hung out with Christine Bibbo Herr from NYC Pretty at the Rebecca Minkoff show where Janelle Monae performed live on the runway as Lindsey Wixon strutted down it. Epic. I also was reunited with Isaiah Garza, jewelry designer and founder of Fashion Munster, love him. Jinna Yang from Grease and Glamour and I played with make up in the Covergirl Lounge at the Empire Hotel, just some girly fun with champagne involved. And then the other random photos are things I liked and snapped some photos of including tattoos, Jinna’s outfit, polaroids that Ru from the Philadelphia post took and an old camera this guy was carrying around. Memories.
