A night out with the fam – it was one of those all nighters that I’ll never forget. Can we just take a moment to appreciate Uber?

Hungover breakfast necessaries at Geoff and Alie’s. I seriously love living a block away from them.

Lunch with Miles at one of my favorite coffee shops/cafes in West Vil.

Btw Geoff, Alie and Miles are who I work with everyday – aka family. The story of how I ended up there will come in a future post:) So much love. <3

A night at Urban Cowboy B&B – btw @rescueskin is now available there;)

For being able to do what I love everyday, the nights that turn into mornings, the friends that have turned into family, the constant inspiration to keep creating and the ability to turn ideas into reality – New York I love you infinitely. This city has changed my life in so many ways and I could not be more grateful for making the move from California 4 years ago. This city has taught me how to be a strong, independent woman and it also made me realize that I am the only one responsible for my life and what I make of it because at the end of the day life is about creating yourself, not finding yourself. You can’t rely on someone else to open opportunities for you – you need to seek them out. Life is what you make it – don’t hold back – don’t wait for your moment – create your moment. You can do literally anything you want to and once you change your mindset and realize that there are no boundaries then you can experience things you could have never imagined – a freedom that no one can take away from you.

One of my biggest tips is to write down your goals everyday, create a to do list and do something to work towards those each and every day. Don’t waste time – just go do it. Don’t be scared of change, embrace it fully. Change is constant and is a good thing – it means you are eternally evolving to do bigger and better things. Don’t make excuses and stop complaining – nobody wants to hear it. That may sound a little harsh but it’s the truth – complaining gets you absolutely nowhere – total time waster. I personally only surround myself with positive people rather than complainers because you don’t need that type of negative energy in your life. Successful people just don’t encircle themselves with downers – fact. If you don’t know where to start just start doing and see what makes you feel fulfilled at the end of the day. Live everyday to the fullest and stop waiting for the weekend – the time is now lovas. (Another quick mini tip – read or listen to “The Secret” series – I started listening to the audio books in high school and I swear it changed my perspective on a lot of things of course along with my dad and grandpa – g’s – love you guys.)

I started out as solely a fashion blogger which opened a TON of opportunities for me and I met so many amazing people along the way but then I wanted to start sharing the other aspects of my life as well including travels, music, restaurants, inspiration and experiences. More depth. There is so much more to life than threads and although yes I do love clothes and styling – I also didn’t feel there was as much of a purpose behind it as there could have been. So I shifted into a lifestyle blogger – covering whatever I was inspired by which has led me to even more opportunities. It has also allowed me to find what I love to do – which is a lot of things. I love to write so I am a journalist for a few major publications and clearly I express a lot of my thoughts on here, I love to create so I produce photo shoots and campaigns for major brands, I love to take photographs as well as be photographed so I do both of those pretty much every day, I love traveling and sharing the experience to inspire others to travel, I love music – all of it (except country), I love quotes and visuals that inspire me, I love social media so I manage brands social media accounts, I love creating and making visions turn into reality so I come up with concepts and ideas for people and brands, I love connecting people and yes I love parties so I produce and host those as well. At the end of the day I love inspiring people and being inspired so that is what makes me jump out of bed every morning. Always have at least a couple projects going on all the time – keeps things interesting.

A lot of people ask what I do exactly and I don’t even know how to label myself other than a creative producer. But I do know that it all makes me feel fulfilled and that’s what matters most because I don’t really care what I’m classified as. BTW I just officially created my LLC this weekend and named it Marietta Media and I’m not going to lie – I feel like a little bit of a girl boss. Go women entrepreneurs;)

Here is a little photo diary of my past week – another week full of memories, friends and inspiration. I cannot express enough the importance of loving what you do everyday and on that note I cannot wait to go into the office tomorrow. Go team Rescue. @rescueskin

And not going to lie – I definitely just danced around my apartment to this song – it’s just one of those.
