Last week Joe and I adventured out to the Hermosa Inn – a luxury boutique hotel in Paradise Valley, Arizona. We had both been wanting to venture out to Arizona after seeing countless stunning photos online, thanks to Pinterest:) Paradise Valley truly lived up to everything I imagined. To be honest, this experience surpassed our expectations by far and we both cannot wait to return. Not only is Arizona desert beautiful to the eye, but also healing for the mind, body & soul. It’s a place to lose and find yourself, a place for healing, and a place to feel the most alive amongst the openness of skyward mountains.

Below I’m sharing with you my top 9 reasons why you need to experience this Arizona luxury boutique hotel for yourself.

1. The Landscaping

I can confidently say that the Hermosa Inn in Paradise Valley, Arizona has the best landscaping I’ve ever seen a hotel maintain. Every flower, every cactus, every tree was trimmed perfectly and so full of life. It makes you feel revitalized and full of gratitude. There are gardens around the property where you can go relax, read, play chess, or just appreciate everything around you.

2. The Pool

The pool is beautiful, nestled in between large palm trees and more flowers. I recommend you order food to the pool, maybe a glass of wine of two, enjoy the comfortable lounge chairs, and take a dip. Also how cute are these cabanas for doing some light reading and napping?!

3. The Rooms

Intimate and luxurious, this boutique desert hideaway welcomes you into their 43 hacienda-style guestrooms and casitas which are each individually decorated in warm, Southwestern style. Fireplaces, secluded patios and vaulted ceilings add to the relaxed appeal.

A recent remodel assures the latest in modern-day conveniences and residential comforts in your guest casita, while preserving Old Arizona charm and historic touches. I especially appreciated the art placed throughout the casita because each piece seems to have a story behind it, as the founder was an artist. We stayed in Grande Casita 112 which I highly recommend because you also have access to a private jacuzzi 24/7.

Tip: I recommend staying in a Grande Casita where you can enjoy a walk-in closet, over sized bathroom, walk in shower, private patio, fireplace, automatic blinds, and of course – a Keurig coffee machine.

4. The Restaurant: LON’s

There’s a reason why LON’s at The Hermosa Inn is rated as one of Paradise Valley’s top restaurants. LON’s offers an intimate dining experience, beautifully lit and surrounded by adobe and rustic ironwork. Our dinner at LON’s was truly romantic and delicious as we ate by the fireplace. I highly recommend the hummus, and mushroom dish. Joe ordered the steak with crispy potatoes and greens a couple times – needless to say – he loved it.

Tip: The restaurant is vegan and vegetarian friendly (YAHS!) and if you would like any modifications to dishes or maybe want to see if they have anything off menu, simply ask your server and they are more than happy to accommodate.

5. The Bathrooms

These bathrooms are what Pinterest dreams are made of. Marble counters, chrome fixtures, and a beautiful bath tub to top it off.

6. The Room Service

If you know me, then you know that quality room service is crucial and a major deciding factor on whether or not we should return. We ordered in room service each morning and it was always ready within 20-30 minutes – absolute perfection. I recommend the egg white omelet, oatmeal, whole wheat blueberry pancakes, fresh fruit, and fresh juices. Those were all the dishes I tried, but I’m positive everything on the menu is delicious.

If you get late night munchies like myself, then I recommend ordering in their special popcorn, hummus, and margaritas as you cozy up by the fire place.

Tip: Each evening, fresh cookies are brought to your room just in case you have a sweet tooth:)

7. The Service & Hospitality

Words cannot begin to describe how amazing and attentive the service was at the Hermosa Inn. We were greeted with such a warm welcome by Deana who checked us in and made sure everything was perfect during our stay. I was truly blown away and couldn’t help but feel so happy, grateful, and thankful. Impeccable attention to the details. This Arizona luxury boutique hotel truly pays attention to every detail.

8. Location

Hermosa Inn is hidden in Paradise Valley, amongst million dollar homes, and far away from the commercial area. You can even hear the birds singing in the morning, it’s that peaceful. This luxury boutique hotel in Arizona is only 20 minutes from the Phoenix airport, which makes it really convenient if you’re flying in. Not only is the location easy to get to, but there is so much to do in the area. You’re 15 minutes from downtown Scottsdale, 15 minutes from Phoenix, and 15 minutes from hiking trails. It doesn’t get better than this.

9. The Vibe

The overall vibe and feeling after we arrived, was nothing but relaxed, happy, and content. Time didn’t seem to slip away, I was able to think clearly, and the overall atmosphere was real.
