This year is THE year. It’s the first time I’m rarely in one city for more than a couple weeks, constantly on the go, consulting + creating content and campaigns for brands, meeting amazing people, and yet feeling very balanced in every way. It’s the first time I’ve had to say no to more work because I’ve learned to focus on quality and think more long term. And it is the first time that I decided to take the leap and invest in starting my own line – AM CLUB. Last year I completely quit working in corporate because balancing a 9-5 (rather 8-11) Director position along with full time blogging was not going to get me where I wanted to be – short or long term. I may only be 24 but I have a pretty good understanding of the way the world works – and I know that it’s run by a lot of genius minds but also many idiots (i.e. Trump). You need to question more and think about people’s intentions and purpose. Take a step back, ask why and think about the bigger picture. This is the year I’ve learned when to leave certain situations, when to stand up for myself and when to stay quiet and just listen. If you’re able to read situations and adapt then you are ready to start your own business and be your own boss IF you have an idea you truly want to pursue and lose sleep over it due to excitement. Life is too short to not follow your passions.
So this is what led me to start AM CLUB.
I was finally ready to start something that I could not stop thinking about. I came up with an idea that would allow me to combine all my favorite things – inspiring people, art, travel + culture, and luxury fashion. AM Club is meant to showcase creatives I find intriguing and whom tell an inspiring story.
So what is AM Club?
AM Club produces exclusive, high-quality silk pieces – each with a unique story and purpose behind it.
“Our mission at AM is to showcase the talents of creatives and package that as an exclusive and timeless product that leverages collaboration to create unique and high-quality items that give back to the artistic and general community while simultaneously creating a community.”
I aspired to create something versatile and unique – something everyone could wear no matter their shape or size. I want these silk art pieces to be worn around your neck as a bandana or neckerchief, as a pocket square, to tie up your hair at the pool, line your suits, or even framed on your wall. The possibilities are endless.
I wanted to produce something that people will feel great about wearing – something that makes them feel unique and empowered. These pieces are for those who care about the story behind each piece as much as the quality and design itself.
AM CLUB was also created to give back. I wanted to create something that allowed me to be able to give back to certain organizations that I feel passionately about and this project is allowing me to do so which is one of the most fulfilling feelings in the world.
