 Inspiration of the day:

Don’t listen to what they say. Go see.

–Chinese Proverb

So as far as things to do and places to see in Puerto Vallarta… My cousins and sistas all went zip lining which they said was awesome but I decided to take a day off and chill on the beach with mother, my aunties and grandma. They all came back with a plethora of bug bites which is another reason why I didn’t want to go because I experienced that pain in Belize last Thanksgiving and they lingered for almost 2 weeks — NOT CHILL. On the up side they said the views were stunning and they got to ride donkeys and hike through the jungle. So if you are the adventurous type and haven’t been zip lining yet – do that excursion. (Not going to lie I am jealous I didn’t get to ride the donkeys. Major fomo.)

A couple other activities they have which I love are jet skiing, parasailing, shopping downtown and renting a boat or yacht to go fishing. I have never had a bad time jet skiing – it’s the best cure for a hangover in my opinion – gets you giggling and high off life. Best adrenaline rush ever. I would literally jet ski everyday of my life if I could make money off of that… Maybe a jet ski Youtube channel using a GoPro….#brilliant

Parasailing is fun if you haven’t done it before but I feel like once you’ve experienced it you lose the wow factor. Regardless, it is beautiful and if you have a fear of heights – it’s a great way to overcome that. Or at least it worked for me.

Shopping downtown is always one of my favorite activities because that is where the culture is. I love seeing and meeting the locals and seeing their craftsmanship. Puerto Vallarta is full of bright colors, ponchos, paintings and LOTS of tequila bars. Definitely worth exploring.

Going into the middle of the ocean to go fishing is always something I’ve enjoyed because I love boats and I love being in the middle of the ocean. It’s the only time I literally can’t get WiFi and it’s actually extremely relaxing to not hear the email chime on my phone every 2 minutes. I also saw humpback whales breach which has been on my bucket list for years and it was so unreal. I wanted to jump in with them honestly but my sister wouldn’t let me… Next time.

Inspiration of the day:

When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life.  When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.  I wrote down ‘happy’.  They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.
–John Lennon

While in Puerto Vallarta I went fishing with my uncles, cousin and sistas early in the morning  and it was by far one of my favorite parts of the trip. There is nothing more serene than being in the middle of the ocean – it’s my happy place:) I honestly didn’t do much of the fishing (just took photos and videos) but I watched them reel in 3 huge tunas and it looked pretty intense…and gross…and I would never personally reel in a fish because I feel bad for the fishies. #hippiechild BUT it was a great bonding activity and I always love being on a boat with the fambam. #memories

I love this little dress by L*SPACE – it’s the perfect beach dress and I LOVE the back detailing – so femme. Who doesn’t love a little black dress on a boat though?
