What To Pack For A Weekend In Miami

Sponsored by Zappos

Traveling often and living a spontaneous life have taught me one major key to life – only book one way flights and only pack the necessities.

Two weeks ago Joey and I booked one way flights to Miami thinking we were only going to spend a weekend here, yet here we are – still at the condo – more creatively inspired and recharged than ever, not wanting to leave. Seriously.

Miami is a tropical paradise.

Packing for Miami is by far my favorite. Although there is so much to do and so much to see, the weather is always the same so you don’t need to pack multiple outfits for each day. Here are the basics I always pack below.

Swimsuits – Always pack a one-piece and bikini. The versatility of a one-piece is incomparable. Throw on some shorts or tie a large silk scarf as a skirt and voila – you have the perfect Miami outfit.

Accessories – Some cute earrings, sunglasses, beach bags, hats and silk scarves. The humidity can be a bit much for my Italian hair, so tying it back with a scarf is always my go to look. Accessories are a great way to add some color to your outfits.

Shirts, shorts, skirts – all lightweight basics to stay cool in the Miami heat.

Shoes – I always pack a good pair of sandals and sneakers. I am in love with these new versatile, comfortable, slick, Timberland leather sneakers from Zappos! Zappos is one of my favorite online places to shop because the vast selection, world class customer service and 365 day return policy – it is incomparable. These sneakers are perfect for strolling the boardwalk, exploring Wynwood, walks around Brickell, trips to the Perez Museum, and everything in between.

You can shop these Timberland sneakers from Zappos here.

Here are some photos from our adventures around Miami the past couple weeks. Comment your favorite places to explore in Miami below!

Desert Rose – A Visual For A.M. CLUB

DESERT ROSE
Filmed and edited by Amy Marietta and Joe Hodges in Palm Springs, California.

As visual creatures, we associate places, themes, sounds and emotions together through different visual mediums and music. Videos can create an experience and inspire the culture, which is why I am striving to create more videos this year and broaden my creative aesthetic spectrum. I designed my brand, A.M. Club, with a bigger purpose in mind, other than providing you with the most unique, luxury silk items. I wanted to create a “club” or “community” where everyone with an open mind is welcome. A place for the passionate. A place to inspire. A place for you.

Issa lifestyle.

I hope this video inspires you to create ruthlessly, spread love abundantly, and embrace your feelings truthfully.

To travel lustfully, embrace your sexuality whole-heartedly, and live passionately.

Of course – I also wanted to show you some more ways to wear awesome silk pieces ;).

We all love and need unique, cozy, and cool graphic tees. They are one of the easiest pieces of clothing to style and always great conversation starters. You can pair them with white jeans, blue jeans, a denim skirt, overalls, cashmere sweatpants, short shorts, the list goes on and on. They’re versatile AF.

My awesome friend Steve started this clothing company years ago that you’ve definitely seen. From their classic “Sunday Funday” to their “Not Your Baby” graphic t-shirt designs – this brand has grown quickly through the digital space over the past few years and I LOVE it! Go Kid Dangerous team! <3

I’m really excited to share with you that now Kid Dangerous is now available at Macy’s! They have some really cool new designs you have to check out. Here’s some of them below.

My Desert Rose

my desert rose

My desert rose, my oasis, my love.

Joey and I took a quick trip to Palm Springs in between hectic Coachella weekends to avoid the madness and it was once again, magical. This experience was much different than the last being that we stayed in an amazing, super Pinterest-like home thanks to GlampingHub.com. The house was only 7 miles from the Ace Hotel, yet completely isolated and quiet. 3 bedrooms, a jacuzzi, Wifi, full kitchen – we cannot wait to go back and take some friends next time – make a long weekend out of it. Here is my photo diary from the trip and I hope this inspires you to get out there for an adventure and take a trip. Try a new place you haven’t been before. Go get creative and do whatever makes you feel alive.

xx
