I know this is an extremely delayed post but better late than never! I’ve been really sick for the past two weeks causing me to get a bit behind but I’m slowly getting back in the groove. Watch outttt.

This was the first day of New York Fashion Week and it was so fun and full of beautiful clothes, people and experiences:) The first show I went to was of course, Nicholas K which is always one of my favorites. Each year they really wow me with their new collections and presentations. The draping and colors are always perfection. If I ever go to Burning Man, my entire wardrobe will be Nicholas K – or any festival for that matter – I just love the New York meets California meets European vibe going on there – so me. Then after Nicholas K was another show at MILK Studios THEN back up to Desigual where Adriana Lima walked. I was like wait whaaaa – when did Victoria Secret models start walking for NYFW?! Insane and not mad at it. Really fun show full of energy and lots of vivacious colors.

The best part of my day though was spending the afternoon with Rodarte and the Mandarin Oriental. Me and a small group of other fashion bloggers got to get a mini tour of both companies favorite spots in NYC. Most activities were on Bond Street – one of my favorite streets in New York – and naturally we saw Cara Delevingne shooting a campaign for some street wear brand. We then grabbed a bite to eat at The Smile – one of my favorite restaurants – and then we drove to a little candy shop in the West Village for some sweets. So much fun with a really cool group of girls. And if you haven’t checked out the Madarin Oriental in NY then you need to – the view is one of my ultimate favorites and the whole ambiance is unforgettable – truly a gem.

Then I quickly cabbed over to support Jeremy Penn at his Schutz Shoes event in the Upper East Side where Alessandra Ambrosio was co-hosting with him. Three Victorias Secret models in one day – so surreal. My favorite was Alessandra though hands down – seriously the most stunning of them all and so nice.

After that event I went home, changed and went to the after parties for the events and then had to wake up and do it all again the next day. This is literally why I am so sick right now – I know Dad – but it’s just so fun.

Inspiration of the day:

“When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.”
