Making the best friendships in London:)

Off to Portobello Market. Take me back!

Fascinated by literally everything.

Vintage heaven.

Started the day at Somerset House to take street style photos for Nylon Singapore and Lookbook.nu with Zhi. It was rather rainy but I met some new cool, creative people and had the opportunity to catch up with some old friends. I love when I see a familiar face across the globe, so comforting and feels like a little fashion family.

After we got the shots we headed over to Sketch for tea and lunch with our friends. Basically  Sketch is the coolest restaurant I have ever been to. Ever. During the day it is a restaurant and tea house and then at night it turns into a lounge/bar. The couches were so plush and it just felt really homey in the main front room. There are multiple rooms though so make sure you take a tour and don’t forget to check out the bathroom. Just trust me, it will change your life. I now have really high expectations for restaurant bathrooms…That’s all.

Anyways after Sketch we walked around Notting Hill and through Portobello Market. This was my favorite and most memorable activity because it felt less touristy and there was so much to look at. The vintage there was incredible and if I had more space in my suitcase I would have boughten everything. I have always been a huge sucker for vintage… I just feel that each intriguing piece has an interesting story behind it and the quality is superb. Those items were made back when everything wasn’t manufactured in China… I could have easily spent another day there if we had time. Now I know for next time to bring an empty suitcase to fill with goodies. But hey I am happy that I got to have my Julia Roberts Notting Hill moment:)

Then later that evening we went to the Ashley Isham show at the Freemason’s Hall by Covent Garden and then explored that area a little bit. Another amazing and unforgettable day in London.

Inspiration of the day:

“We need the tonic of wildness…At the same time that we are earnest to explore and learn all things, we require that all things be mysterious and unexplorable, that land and sea be indefinitely wild, unsurveyed and unfathomed by us because unfathomable. We can never have enough of nature.”
-Henry David Thoreau
