Zhi and I decided to explore Governors Island because they installed these really cool hammocks and we had both never been. I love exploring all areas around the city-it’s such a breath of fresh air- quite literally. I also love riding the ferry so I was super down. Gov Island has over 30 acres of parks and to travel around you can rent those really cute bikes that seat 4 people-always fun and make great photo ops-every bloggers/photographers dream. My opinion on Governors Island is that it is truly beautiful, has fascinating buildings and the view of the city is breathtaking; however I do think they could put in some trendy restaurants, bars and food trucks. (And they could also seriously revamp their beach club-iiiiiit was a bit drab.) It is definitely an island to check out this weekend if you want to mix it up and explore somewhere new. Have a picnic and don’t forget to BYOB. Or rose. Or champagne. Or Disaronno and apple juice. No that’s not weird.

This outfit was super comfortable and I love this little jean dress. It is so simple and casual-the perfect dress for a chill Sunday. I paired it with this kimono by Gentlefawn which I am obsessed with. Kimonos are my new favorite item of clothing because they are so versatile and comfortable. I can use it as a blanket, tie it around my waist or wear it normally.
